Football Drones for Games and Practices

Football drones are changing the way schools capture aerial video. Their speed, maneuverability, and ability to quickly change positions give football programs a level of coverage that traditional fixed tower cameras cannot always provide.

From recording football practices to capturing live game footage, a football drone camera gives coaches and video staff another powerful tool for breaking down the game.

At Sideline Power, we offer a wide variety of professional football drone systems and sports drone kits to meet the needs of different football programs. Our exact drone models change as new technology becomes available, but we offer multiple package options so schools can choose the setup that makes the most sense for their program.

Football Drone Sports Kits

Our football drone sports kits are designed specifically with sports programs in mind.

Rather than simply selling a drone by itself, our packages can include the equipment you need to keep your drone system ready for practices and games.

Depending on the package, football drone kits can include:

• Professional drone

• Extra drone batteries

• Multi battery charger

• Hard sided waterproof drone case

• SD cards

• SD card adapters

• Drone accessories and necessary equipment

Having extra batteries and a multi battery charger means your video staff can spend more time using the drone and less time waiting for batteries to recharge.

The hard sided waterproof case also gives your program a dedicated way to protect the drone and equipment during transportation and storage.

A Football Drone for Games and Practices

Many of our sports drone kits are designed to use the same drone for both football games and practices.

During practice, coaches can use the drone to capture an elevated view of formations, team periods, special teams, drills, and full field situations.

During games, a compatible football drone can provide a unique aerial perspective when flying is permitted.

The maneuverability of a drone allows the camera operator to quickly change position and follow the action instead of being limited to the fixed position of a traditional tower camera.

HDMI Output for Your Football Replay System

One of the most important features of our game capable sports drone kits is the full size HDMI output from the controller.

The live video feed can be connected to a compatible football replay system using an HDMI cable.

This allows the drone to become another video source for your existing football video operation.

Instead of recording drone footage separately and reviewing it later, your video staff can integrate the live drone feed into a compatible replay workflow.

For football programs that already have a sophisticated video setup, this can make a drone much more useful than a standalone consumer camera.

Use Your Football Drone With an Endzone Tower

You don't always have to fly a drone to take advantage of a football drone camera.

Sideline Power offers a Drone to Endzone solution that allows compatible drones to be mounted to our football endzone towers.

Using a custom built shell, the drone can be securely mounted to the tower and used as an elevated endzone camera.

This gives schools another option for getting the aerial perspective of a drone without having the drone flying over the field during a game.

Create a Wireless Endzone Camera Setup

Pair a compatible football drone with a Sideline Power endzone tower and you can create a wireless endzone camera setup.

Traditional tower cameras often require video cables to run from the camera at the top of the tower down to the equipment below. Those cables can be difficult to manage and can become damaged during setup, teardown, transportation, or regular use.

With the Drone to Endzone system, the drone is mounted to the tower using a custom shell.

No long video cable running down the tower. No drone flying during the game. Just a mounted drone providing an elevated endzone camera angle.

This can be especially useful for schools that want to use a drone camera but cannot fly a drone during a game.

Football Practice Drones

Not every football program needs a drone designed for game use.

Sideline Power also offers football practice drones designed primarily for capturing practice footage.

These drones can give coaches an elevated view of:

• Offensive formations

• Defensive alignments

• Team periods

• Special teams

• Position drills

• Full field practice

• Player positioning

The zoom capabilities on our practice focused drones are more limited, so we typically recommend these systems for practice rather than game use.

For programs that primarily want an affordable and effective way to capture practice from above, a practice drone can be an excellent addition to their football video equipment.

Why Football Programs Are Using Drone Cameras

A traditional tower camera gives you an elevated perspective, but it is generally limited to where the camera is positioned.

A drone gives the camera operator the ability to move.

That speed and maneuverability can provide faster responses and more flexible coverage throughout a practice or game. The camera can change position, follow the action, and capture views that would be difficult or impossible with a fixed camera.

For coaches and video staff, that means more opportunities to capture the exact footage they need.

Whether you want a wide view of the entire field, an elevated look at formations, or another angle for breaking down a specific play, a football drone can provide a level of flexibility that a fixed camera system cannot.

The Right Football Drone Package for Your Program

Every football program uses video equipment differently. That's why we offer multiple football drone sports kits rather than trying to sell every school the exact same package.

Some programs need a complete game and practice drone system. Others primarily need a practice drone. Some schools already have an endzone tower and want to add a drone mounted camera.

We can help you determine which drone, accessories, and mounting options make sense for your program.

Football Drone Support From Sideline Power

When you purchase a football drone from Sideline Power, you also get access to our Drone Support Specialist.

Our specialist can help answer questions about your equipment, provide support videos, and assist with troubleshooting.

That support is an important part of purchasing a professional football drone system. You aren't simply buying a drone and being left to figure everything out on your own.

You have a resource available who understands the equipment and how football programs use it.

Football Drones From Sideline Power

Sideline Power makes it a point to offer a wide professional variety of football drones and sports drone kits because every football program has different video needs.

Whether you need a drone for football practice, a game capable sports drone, an HDMI compatible system for your replay equipment, or a drone that can be mounted to an endzone tower, we have options to fit different programs and budgets.

Our drone models and packages can change as technology continues to improve, but our goal remains the same: give football programs the equipment, accessories, and support they need to get more out of their video system.
