With Sideline Power, the leader in high school coaching communication and replay technology, expanding into a new standalone office space, Owner and CEO, Matt Starr, decided it was also time to expand his sales team. In looking at prospective candidates for a National Sales Manager, Starr wanted to find someone that already had experience yet would be able to grow and mature with the company. Starr was looking for someone heavily vested in the sports community and had proven results at a national level. Sideline Power, LLC is proud to announce Marc Sheil as the new National Sales Manager.
A resident of Waverly, NE, Sheil is a Nebraska native, born and raised in Palmyra, a small town South East of Lincoln. Sheil played basketball at Palmyra for Starr. Sheil attended Nebraska Wesleyan University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management with a minor in Legal studies. After graduating, Sheil moved to Virginia for a year to complete an internship at the Virginia Beach Field House, a large indoor facility that focuses on league sports and sports tournaments. Sheil also spent some time in a marketing and promotional role with the Lincoln Haymakers, an arena football team, running game day activities and writing press releases. Most recently, however, Sheil successfully completed a management training program with national rental car agency, Hertz. “I played baseball at Nebraska Wesleyan and I’m a huge college football fan,” remarked Sheil, “so, I know that with the right people in the right positions, a great team can accomplish anything. I’m looking forward to being part of a great team.”
“We are really excited to have Marc on our team,” commented Starr, “he’s got a lot of great experience that will help develop Sideline Power into a sports communications powerhouse.”
